Insurance Expertise for Fee-Only and Fiduciary Advisors

Since 2008, Advisor Insurance Resource® has worked exclusively with clients referred by fee-only financial advisors, attorneys and other fiduciary professionals. We evaluate, place and service life, disability, long-term care, annuity and property and casualty coverage for your clients, coordinated with the plan you have built and free of sales pressure.

You stay at the center of the relationship. We handle the insurance.

Built to Complement the Fiduciary Relationship

Referral only, never competing

We work only with clients referred by advisors and other professionals. We do not offer investment management or financial planning, and we never cross-sell, so your client relationship stays yours.

Aligned with your plan

Our recommendations start from the objectives you have set for the client, not from a product we want to sell.

The whole market, compared

With access to more than 100 insurance companies, we compare carriers side by side and show you and your client why one fits better than another.

Specialists, not generalists

Complex life insurance design, disability coverage for physicians, executives and business owners, long-term care planning led by a CLTC® designee, and high-value home, auto and liability coverage.

Service after the policy is placed

Fast turnaround, and an annual review email to you, the advisor, on each policy's anniversary, so coverage keeps pace as your client's life changes.

How a Referral Works

  1. Introduce your client

Introduce your client to us by email with them copied, or pass along our contact details. Share the planning objective and anything you already know about existing coverage.

  2. We gather the details

We obtain your client's health history and other relevant details confidentially, safeguarding their protected health information.

  3. We negotiate up front

Nearly 30 years and thousands of successful cases have given us deep experience with unique health histories. Using our proprietary case positioning process and long-standing relationships with carrier underwriters, we negotiate the most favorable outcome before an application is submitted, so your client receives the most competitive solution available.

  4. Your client receives a clear recommendation

A multi-carrier comparison, with our recommendation and the reasons behind it, sent to your client with you, the advisor, copied.

  5. We manage underwriting

We handle the application, medical requirements and carrier follow-up, and keep you informed at each step.

  6. We keep you informed

Each year we send you, the advisor, an annual review email for the policy, not your client. We never cross-sell your clients.

Straight Answers on Compensation and “Low-Load” Insurance

Fee-only advisors hold themselves to a high standard of transparency, and so do we.

How we are paid

AIR is compensated by the insurance company when a policy is placed. There is no fee to you or your client for our analysis or service.

Your fee-only status is protected. We never pay referral fees or share compensation with advisors, so referring a client to AIR keeps your practice fee-only.

About “low-load” insurance

Advisors often ask whether we offer low-load products. Our honest answer is that “low-load” is a marketing phrase, not a product feature:

  • On term life, disability and long-term care insurance, the commission is set by the carrier and cannot be lowered, so no one can offer a genuine low-load version.
  • On permanent life insurance, designs sold as low-load usually spread or restructure the commission. Some reduce long-term performance; others pay more in total over time.

What protects your client is a full comparison of every structure across many carriers, which is how we evaluate every case.

What Advisors Say

“I can't tell you how much I appreciate your responsiveness, expertise, and candor. THANK YOU!”

Libby B., Financial Advisor, September 2026

“You were excellent! I appreciate your attentiveness and communication at every step of the journey. I also appreciate that you reach out as the anniversary of each policy arrives. That's an extra step that I don't see anyone else doing and comes at a good time given people's lives (and insurance needs) change over time.”

Christopher S., Financial Advisor, September 2025

“Thanks again for the wonderful service you provide to me and my clients.”

Lauren M., Financial Advisor, August 2026

Questions Advisors Ask

Do you pay referral fees to advisors?

No. We never pay referral fees or share compensation, so referring clients to AIR keeps your practice fee-only.

What does your service cost my client?

Nothing beyond the policy premium. We are paid by the insurance company, not by you or your client.

Will you contact my client directly?

Only with your go-ahead. Some advisors join every conversation; others prefer we work with the client and keep them informed. We follow your lead.

Do you offer investment or financial planning services?

No. We focus solely on insurance, so we never compete with you for your client's assets or planning relationship.

Can you review a client's existing coverage?

Yes. We evaluate existing life, disability, long-term care and property and casualty policies and tell you plainly whether a change makes sense.

Which states do you serve?

Bob Gertie is licensed in 48 states, and our property and casualty practice is licensed throughout most of the United States.

Do you offer low-load insurance?

No one can offer genuine low-load term, disability or long-term care coverage, because those commissions are fixed by the carrier. For permanent life insurance, we compare every structure, including designs marketed as low-load, and recommend the one that serves the client best. Read our full explanation.
